Rin Shavi

of

Pandora: A Journey of the Fallen

Appearance

Rin has long, glistening Blood Red hair streaked with Bright Yellow down the middle that flows down to her thighs. Her face, while smooth, isn't flawless. She has a fading scar on her forehead that is a Light Tan color, heavily contrasting with her Dark Bronze skin. She has small lips, but something of a large mouth. Rin has fading vertical scars going down from above her eyelids to below her lower eye sockets on each eye. Rin's irises are a Dark Blue color, but her wide eyes seem to show hues of red. Her slender neck leads into a thicker, more chiseled build. A muscular girl, Rin's tall build makes her physically trained body stand out, though she is not so muscular that one couldn't call her thin. Her hands are small and her nails are long and painted yellow with acrylic paint. Her arms show years of toiling and training, while her legs are thinner and less toned. Her chest is slightly small for someone of her size.

Rin's attire consists mostly of erratic, random colors that tend to clash and "not go together" to the more experienced eye; having said that, one wouldn't need to be very experienced to notice Rin's eccentric sense of fashion. Around her neck she wears a small tan cape that goes slightly below her shoulders, and covering the top of it is an Ocean Blue Wool Scarf, something she wears regardless of of weather or temperature. On her lower half she wears what could only be described as the bottom of a tight black jumpsuit. She wears a cream colored blouse with frills on the bottom (the bottom being a little lower than her waist). She wears a very small fanny back on the back of her waist (hidden under her blouse) for convenience, she also has a small teal backpack that she takes with her on occasion. She wears white fingerless leather gloves on her hands and doesn't wear shoes most of the time.

Mako Reese

of

Pokemon Fallout

General Information

Mako is a male currently eleven years of age. His current goal is to return home to his mother, and after that, to kill Arceus for the genocide of millions upon millions of pokemon.

Appearance

Mako is somewhat tall for his age. He has short Jet Black hair that flows to the right and is slightly spiked at its tips, though some of it hangs down in the back. He wears a black T-Shirt and carries a pair of earphones around his neck. Mako has light brown skin and green eyes. He wears jean shorts and rubber sandals. His face naturally shows signs of fatigue due to his embattled mind. His sandals are slightly worn, and his dark blue socks are covered with brown stains from the mud he has trekked through. His hands are small, yet his fingernails are slightly grown out in the case that he needs to use them for combat. His arms make him seem frail due to their thinness, but his legs are toned as a result of his nomadic lifestyle and lack of transport. He is thin, but not so much that he is underweight. On his back is a medium-sized black school backpack.

Personality

Naturally, Mako is a gentle, passive soul, but after being possessed by Kraus, who often speaks devilish commands and thoughts to him, his innocent mind went into turmoil. Generally, he likes to be around others because Kraus' voice is suppressed, but do to his mind being on the brink of instability, he tends to scare most normal people away. Mako loves to read, and because of this he carries around several large books in his backpack; he specifically carries around large books because if he finishes all of his books he knows that he will be coerced by Kraus into stealing more. Mako is still passive, and avoids fighting when he can, but if he is threatened and scared to a certain point and he is forced to fight, he synchronizes with Kraus. While Mako seems frail, he harbors a surprising amount of willpower, he has to; Krause is his antithesis, and if Mako lets his guard down he will take the place of Mako's soul, killing Mako and leaving Kraus in the care of Mako's body. Thus, Mako has become more courageous and emotionally stronger to prevent such a happening.

History

Mako lived in a small house in the city of Pastoria with his mother, his father had not been present during his life at home. Mako was an adventurous boy, but he was never allowed to go to far from home. His mother, Ren, was a fishing woman who relied on her catch of the day to feed herself prior to Mako's birth. As time went on and as the virus spread, Mako's mother caught less and less fish, often not being able to bring home enough food for herself, resulting in her not being able to eat. Eventually Mako was born, which inflated the already near fatal problem for her and her newborn son. She was too pure to kill her son and too kindhearted to steal from others (which was also a matter of logic, as if she started to steal then Pastoria would just become a cesspool of crime and villainy). Still, she had to eat, so she was forced to resort to some less than reputable means of obtaining sustenance. She heard about a farm that harvested stolen berry seeds of all types. It was hidden, and very few people knew of it. She decided to start purchasing the illegal berries for what were almost exorbitant prices, and thus had to work three jobs. This tore Mako up as he got older and started to understand that, from what he'd learned from books, having more than two jobs wasn't normal, so he started looking for alternative means of obtaining food.

One day, Mako heard some kids talking about a wealth of Feebas that were located in Mt.Coronet. Mako knew a lot about Pokemon as, although he'd never seen one, he had read about them in books, and because Ren was a fishing woman previously, she would greatly appreciate his venture. Mako quickly ran into his house and grabbed his mother's old harpoon and immediately left for Mt.Coronet. Once he arrived at the site where he heard the spring was located he looked left and right for Feebas. That's when it happened. The mountain started to shake, and debris and boulders started to fall all around him. The mountain was collapsing. Mako lost all hope and simply closed his eyes, a tendency he had when he got scared. Then all was quiet. Mako opened his eyes to see an incredible sight, a giant crystal. Mako started towards it, when a dark creature ran into him and entered his body. Mako's head started to hurt uncontrollably, and the commandments burned into his mind. The pain overcame Mako, and he blacked out. When he came to, he was being dragged away with a bag over his head.

Kita Rindo Okata

of

Sacred Fire/Divine Water

General Information

Kita is a sixteen year old male of the Sacred Fire Family. Kita lives in Ho-oh City and is the Main Family's Blacksmith, and as such, he makes armor, weapons, and various other items for the main family, and also works to make various items to aid and maintain Ho-oh City. Kita also dabbles in Alchemy (the art of creating or modifying an item with one or more catalysts) and has thus far been unsuccessful, he does not make his dealings with alchemy publicly known. Due to his being a Blacksmith with neither an apprentice nor a master, Kita has to scout out items and gather materials and has become quite adept in the aforementioned areas. Kita is also a very resourceful individual, always finding different uses for the materials and world around him. Also, he is handy when it comes to forging. He also does well when wielding a sword, but he's not too strong in that field. Kita does not fair well around others due to his solitary home and work lives. Kita's also not very assertive, and tends to simply take the insults, harsh words, and sometimes the aggressive actions of others without action or making any sort of rebuttal, though he is protective of those that he's close to, and tries to overcome this for their sake. Except on various occasions, Kita often carries around a Light Steel Katana. His partner is a Vulpix named Yasha, a frail and energetic creature that Kita cares for above anything else. Close friends often call him Kitan and Okarin.

Appearance

Kita's hair is spiked downwards with his hair coming down to his eyebrows in the front and continuing to descend to the back of of his neck going back, it's Pitch Black with equally distant and small streaks of Dark Red. Kita's eyes are wide, yet also very slightly smaller than most, and are a natural Bright Red color which contrasts from the color of his thin black eyebrows. His skin is a somewhat dark tan with a black (as in color, not race) tint developed from his working near smoke and fire daily. Around his forehead he wears a black headband (he only wears this when he's out and about, as it's too hot to wear in the forge. He wears a lightweight Dark Black Chestplate that he wears under the white ornamented robes that he was gives for his position. He wears black tabi (a type of traditional Japanese sock), tan zori (a type of Japanese sandal), and, on occasion (though rare) wears silver spaulders under his robes. He wears a very Dark Blue hakama on his lower body. While his arms are built and muscular, his build is rather slim, which works to complement somewhat tall stature. When looking for supplies, he has a sword on his left waste, a pickaxe diagonally strapped to his back and in the opposite facing diagonal direction he wears an iron mallet. He also has a beltpack that he wears on the back of his waist that holds a few other items, and above that is a small gourd of oil.

Personality

Kita is a quiet person do to the fact that he works alone and lives only with Yasha, his linked Vulpix; even still, he is a very respectful young man and knows not to overstep his boundaries. He's studious and adventurous in his philosophical and intellectual pursuits, often searching for ways to make new or creative objects with the forge as well as to expand his own horizons. Despite his calm and somber nature, his eccentricies show when he's gathering materials and forging. He's quite the excitable young man, and he tends to ramble on in an almost nerdy fashion about pretty much anything dealing with crafting. However, this is one side he only shows to people he's closest to. He's also a big fan of nature, and often goes on walks to marvel at the trees, land, and pokemon in the area. Usually when he's alone he tends to think out loud, but when Yasha's nearby he talks to him.

History

Kita was born to a Branch Family of the Sacred Flame, and this Branch found it's home in a forest of on the outskirts of Eastern Johto (though their home wasn't exactly secluded, they were located noticablely close to what is now Route 35). His early life was fairly normal, other than the fact that he had no linked pokemon partner to speak of. Kita's parents had decided to keep him and his parter separate until they both were the age of thirteen, this was likely done to keep their child and his partner safe, reason being if they were to give him power he may act thoughtlessly and rashly, which could lead to danger not only for them but the world around them. It was around the age of ten that Kita started becoming interested in his parents' line of work, blacksmithing. Because of their distance away from the Mainland, they did not directly serve the Main Family, but rather they did make various items for neighboring cities and towns. Kita quickly learned his way around a forge, and in time he became an indisposable member of the Okata business.

About three years later some strange men came to visit the village. The men made their way to the Okata household and introduced themselves as members of the main family; they'd heard of the Okata family's prowess and offered to have them live close to the Main Family. Although stunned, Kita's father was quick to accept. However, Kita's mother reminded him that there would be no one to take care of the needs of their neighboring cities and towns if they were to leave. It was at this point that Kita offered to go himself to go. His parents were reluctant, but they soon gave in due to his resilient persistence. After gathering his things, he went to the men who were to transport him to the mainland, his parents came up to him along with a small creature. They told him that it was his partner, Yasha. Ecstatic, Kita took the Vulpix upon his shoulder and departed towards Ho-oh City.

Gavin Grant

of

Youkai Academy

General Information

Gavin is a 15 year old Warlock who is also half Human. Gavin attends Youkai Academy and aspires to be Student Body President to make the youkai feel individualistic and to get rid of the simple goal that youkai should learn to live with the humans. This stems from the fact that he lived as a Human for most of his life, and he saw the fear that youkai brought humans, or in reality, the fear that ignorance brought humans. Gavin feels that Youkai Academy should instead help Youkai to hone their skills and learn about their heritages, and they should also plan something to instead make humans more tolerant of youkai as they are. Gavin resides in Dorm B of Youkai Academy.

Appearance

Gavin has short blue hair with a small portion of noticeable blonde hair that sticks up in the front of his head. He has a red left eye and a green right when using magic, most other times he has blue eyes, and because of this other youkai tend to mistake him for a human. At his side he carries around a satchel that contains grimoires required for class, other school supplies, and well as other freelance grimoires and school supplies. In his leather pant pocket he keeps his pencil which has runes on it, once he recites the runes his pencil turns into a broom, which he rides around due to his inability to fly on his own as a result of him being a half-blood. The pencil triples as his staff, as it is simply more convenient for him. The pencil (which Gavin named Gorun Nova), however, does not transform into a staff, it is able to be used as a magic medium in any form it is in. He wears a polo carrying the academy's insignia and wears black dress shoes. His face is small and frail, which can pretty much be said about his entire person.

Personality

Gavin holds very little willpower and self-confidence. Gavin pretty much acts the same as he looks, small and frail. If he is bullied, he will generally cringe in fear and let it happen. However, Gavin is quite the sociable person. He holds no ill-will for anyone due to his mother being a very Christian woman, very much believing in Jesus' teachings. Gavin is also very friendly, which makes him a target for those that can exploit such a trait. Due to his being a warlock, he can hold his own in arguments, and is generally an observant and deductive person. In fact, the one time he is most confident is when he is in debates or arguments, though at times his confidence turns into elitism, but rarely does this actually happen.

History

Gavin was born to a mixed household: his mother being human and his father being a warlock. Growing up, Gavin didn't know he was a warlock, or rather, he never had a chance, he had no staff. Gavin loved books and fantasy growing up, so his idea of what a Youkai was was heavily influenced by media, literature, cartoons, and anime. One day when he was nine years of age Gavin ventured into the attic and found some black books covered in dust, clearly they hadn't been used in a while. He started reading one called "The Basics". He was intrigued by this book and started studying it, taking it to school, the library- everywhere. When he turned ten, his parents told him that he was part warlock. In the beginning, he didn't quite believe them, but then he thought back to the words in the book that said that most witches and warlocks are revealed their true nature in their teen ages. Gavin lit up, and he was surprised that they would reveal something like this to him at such a young age. Gavin's father gave him his other books that were left in the attic.

Because he had already been studying witchcraft (for fun, not for the sake of actually planning to preform the dark arts when he still thought he was a human), he knew immediately what to do first. He found his favorite pencil and inscribed into it runes on both sides. On one side was a spell that allowed him to transform an object into something else, in this case it was a pencil into a broom. On the other side was a passive spell that meant that the pencil could not break, a small invulnerability spell he found that could be imbued into various objects, but at his current level he could only imbue very small things such as pencils and utensils. When he turned fourteen he left home to join the Youkai Academy to better his skills with magic, as well as because his mother felt he needed to interact with other youkai more. He was a sheltered boy, so the jump was big, but he was ready.

Regal Gemini

of

Time & Space

General Information

Regal is a sixteen year old artisan who has ambitions of becoming a famous pianist. He lives alone, and the current location of his family is unknown. He was given a Starly by Professor Rowan

Appearance

Regal wears a Dark Gray beanie on his head. Coming down from under that beanie is unkempt, Dark Brown hair that covers his eyes (though he's still able to see). His eyes are white as from the colored contacts he wears (otherwise his eyes are green). When his contacts aren't in he wears glasses, but the chances of that happening are very rare due to his disdain for glasses. On his chin is a small goatee. Regal also has a slightly pale skin tone. Regal wears a black sleeveless T-Shirt and carries a necklace that represents a musical 8th note. He wears Dark Blue Jeans and black and blue Athletic Shoes. His build isn't exactly thin, but he certainly isn't large. He's about 6'0 and has something of a minor athletic build.

Personality

Regal's favorite color is black, and he has quite an appreciation of Gothic art styled and palettes; this leads people to believe that he is indeed a Goth, but he prefers traditional Gothic art to Pop Cultural Goth. He is actually quite the bright and ambitious young man with dreams of becoming a famous Piano Player and Song Writer. Similarly, he dabbles in art, as it serves as inspiration for his music. Regal's quite the sociable young man, and a showy one at that. He tends to want to make his talents known without coming off at narcissistic or too attention grabbing, so he whistles tunes that he's created to try to impress those around him. While he's never owned a pokemon, he has always been in awe and wonder towards them. He found their abilities and ways of life, as well as dramatic differences in their lives from the humans', to be so interesting. He'd often sketch pokemon in his free time. A pretty happy-go-lucky fellow and very nonchalant, Regal isn't the type to let unfortunate events get him down, and he's quite selective with what actually makes him angry or sad (not by choice, of course). Regal is quite the responsible young man, he's always felt the need to be independent. At a young age, his parents tried to help him out but he would insist that he do it himself. This could range from doing homework or washing clothes. It remained that way for most of his life, that independence become more and more apparent as he grew older. At the age of 15 he moved out to live on his own, it's unclear as to whether his family is currently alive. Regal is a very philosophical person as well, generally he would think about the lengths of the universe and how it's possible that time could be bent. One could say that his interest in the unknown was due to his omnipotent desire to become a better musician, and that he was always willing to grab what he couldn't understand for inspiration. Regal would probably agree to that, it's been an innate and natural curiosity that's plagued him for most of his life.

History

Regal was living in an apartment when the catastrophe struck. The building started shaking, but Regal wasn't able to leave due to the staircase having collapsed and the power being out, thus the elevators were also out of service. Regal was faced with certain death, and thus he spent his "last few minutes" the only way he knew how: playing the piano. Granted, the erratic shaking made things quite difficult for him music playing, he still proceeded with his music slowly and elegantly. The piece, "An Aria of Death's Approach"; he felt it to be very appropriate. The building then started to crumble, its walls breaking from the motions of the building. However, that day wasn't Regal's Judgment Day. A Fearow, and a rather large one, flew through one window and out of the opposite facing window. Regal grabbed its legs and flew with it out of the window. Still, Fearow aren't exactly normally strong enough to carry a six foot human being, and thus it slowly descended while still flying at a constant speed. He reached the ground and let go. Outside of his building he saw a other people from his building who also made it out. Not all of them, however.

The ground started to crack and part in the wake of the earthquakes, so Regal started running. The cracks certainly weren't small, and they grew almost as quickly as he could run. Before he knew it, the ground below him was gone and he had started falling. Someone caught his hand, a teen around his age, and pulled him up, promptly running and giving no time for thanks. Despite the fact that Regal had no idea who this person was or where he was going, he followed him. After several minuted of sprinting, the two reached a building, it seemed to be for the purpose of protecting people from catastrophes such as this, a bunker of sorts. Regal entered, as well as the man from before, and as soon as they were in the door to the bunker closed. Regal felt a tap on his shoulder and he said, "Oh, thanks for saving-" he turned around to see who it was, and it wasn't the man from earlier, but rather it was Professor Rowan, someone Regal was well aware of. "Oh, excuse me, sir," he said, correcting himself. "No need to be so formal, son, I just noticed that you dropped this on your way in," he said, handing Regal a small pocket sketchpad. Regal checked his back pocket and all he found was a pencil, he had indeed dropped it. "I had a look through it, and I'm quite impressed; you sure do know a lot about pokemon." "Thank you, sir," he said, taking the sketchpad. "I study them...for pleasure, not for research, however." "I see, but regardless, those pictures capture tendencies and dietary habits often only seen in books and the Pokedex, it's quite informative and detailed," Rowan said in response. He paused for a moment and asked for Regal's name. "Regal Gemini, eh? I'll remember you." He said before walking off to another area of the bunker.

Regal looked at his sketchpad and noticed a that stuck to it was a sticker for "Holy Burrito", a food chain that used different to make a variety of burritos. Granted, Regal never found the name to be attractive; personally he didn't like religious references in his food and he never found the use of the word "burrito" to be funny. He carefully pulled off the sticker, so as not to rip the page, and discarded it in a nearby trashcan.

Kion Armando Felton

of

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Victory's Reign

General Information

Kion is a 16 year old male Blitzle Gijinka who is a member of Team Psycho Spark. He is called Fel by most people, very few others call him Kion other than his family. Fel only knows Charge and Sword Dance at the moment. He feels that he should rely on strengthening moves since he fights using martial arts rather than actual offensive moves. That, coupled with the fact that he hasn't trained for the upcoming combat, he pretty much left home abruptly.

Appearance

Fel is about 5'8", wears a red sweatshirt with a gray hood and wears blue jeans. He wears red and black athletic shoes, slightly worn from long-time use. He has a slightly dark skintone, similar to one who is mixed due to having one black parent and one white parent. His hair is spiky and flows back, it's black but has several steaks through it which is what makes him distinguishable from others as a Blitzle. On his waist is an bokkon wooden sword. He carries a backpack around that has water inside it, which he pours on his sword so that it will conduct the electricity when he uses Charge.

Personality

He's for the most part calm and slightly quiet, though when he feels like approaching someone to chat he will. When he's around friends he's rather talkative. He's a philosophical person, always thinking, and makes his thoughts known to those to whom he is closest. His ideals can be slightly childish and seemingly naive, and his philosophical nature often conflicts with his adamant tendencies for justice that he gained from his love of anime and his admiration for "Shonen Spirit" at a younger age. He sometimes goes into situations without thinking, especially ones that involve someone else being in danger, but his mind is very quick to adapt to the situation. Otherwise Fel is a mature man, and he knows the world isn't in black and white, and that behind every event is a complex chain of facts, nothing is ever truly simple.

History

At a younger age Fel was a normal child, he didn't have much drama and there wasn't much tragedy in his life. He watched anime all of his life and he loved Shonen anime when he was younger, so naturally he got into martial arts. He wasn't the greatest, but with effort he climbed the belt ranks. He continued to do martial arts as he got older. And then "it" happened. One day he felt a the ground rumble. He rushes outside only to see pure and utter destruction. His face unmoved, he grabs the wooden sword he used for practice and a large bottle of water (which he puts in his backpack) and set out for answers. Maybe it is that "Naive Shonen Spirit" that is driving him, or maybe he just feels he that he can make a difference; he doesn't know. He just feels he needs to get to the source.

Alice Delarosa Felton

of

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Victory's Reign

General Information

Alice is a 11 year old female Ralts Gijinka who is a member of Team Psycho Spark. Alice knows Frustration, Psychic, and Thunderbolt. She is called Rose, Rosa, or Rosy by her brother Fel and is called Ali (pronounced Aly) by some friends and family. She calls Fel by his first name, Kion. She only knows that she's able to use Thunderbolt since Fel taught it to her. She can only use Frustration when she's incredibly mad, which is rare, amplifying its affects; the unique thing about it, however, is that she blacks out when she uses it and her body starts running completely on instinct, it's more of a "state" rather than an "attack" really; it is something she instinctively and inadvertently adopted from her brother's actions when she was assaulted when she was 4 and his physical fighting style. Psychic is similar, accept to use that she must be completely emotionally unstable and basically broken. Also, rather than pure instinct, she actually thinks when she is using Psychic- but unconsciously. It is generally stronger than Frustration, but she uses it much less than it, despite the fact that she rarely even uses Frustration.

Appearance

Alice has long (naturally) light green hair that goes down to her chest, and on the top of her head she has two small red ears partially protruding from her scalp (similar to a cat or a bunny, a trait she gained from her mother). Alice is slightly short for someone of her age and wears a white dress that goes half-way past her knees and shorts. She wears various colored socks on different says and small pink shoes. She's rosy-cheeked, blue-eyed, and has a slight tan. She also has a small tail that regrows if it's cut off (which she knows because she accidentally cut it off recently). She carries around a Bag containing various attack moves (mostly psychic) and she carries around a thick cylinder shaped orange stick that Fel made for her to be effective for her in combat, since he was worried she wasn't physically strong enough to fight someone off, and it quickly became a cherished item of hers which she named "Son", after one of Fel's favorite heroes.

Personality

She's a very energetic person, and like her brother, she has an innate sense of justice. However, the two are rather different in this respect. While Fel feels that things are rarely black and white and that he will truly look into a problem before acting (though sometimes he still goes into thinking), Alice is something of a vigilante in that she will help someone simply because they're in trouble, the trait that Fel fears most. Otherwise, she's outgoing and slightly naive, but she is smarter and more perceptive than Fel was at his age, she's a fast thinker, so she can go into a situation and assess before acting, but also before it's too late for her to act.

History

Alice was born six years before her brother, and like many little siblings she saw her brother as a superhero. Her brother would usually act out what he saw on TV, and that passion was passed onto Alice. Originally Fel saw Alice as just a sister, someone you had to love and you'd get in fights with, but after a certain incident when she was 4 she became the apple of his eye. Alice is very young and very cute, and there are certain people that take advantage of people like this. One day after school Fel went to go find her to walk home. When he couldn't find her he casually started looking around, when finally he found her. She was being wrestled to the ground by a middle-aged man. Fel dropped his backpack from his backpack and immediately tackled the man. The man is barely moved and retaliated by punching Fel in the stomach. Fel fell to the ground and lay unconscious. Alice was mortified. The man looked back at her, and she looked at the man and lost control. She let out a bloodcurdling scream. Suddenly she stopped and became what seemed like almost another person. She was completely stoic, showing no emotion. Alice looks at the man, and suddenly he faints. She starts to telepathically choke the man when she is suddenly knocked unconscious by Fel, who had used the last of his to stop her. Since that day, Fel cares about nothing more than his little sister, and often takes steps to keep her safe such as teaching her basic martial arts and Thunderbolt. It was with these skills that she became a vigilante, especially at her school. She decided to set out to become an explorer about a week after Fel left (since they don't live particularly close to the Guild, Fel had to make a pretty long journey). Unlike Fel, she took various forms of transportation, mainly because she knew exactly where she was going and Fel didn't. She went to join him because she reasoned he was impulsive enough to leave without knowing the details and anti-social enough not to be able to find a partner.

Kion Gavin

of

Youkai Academy 2013

General Information

Gavin is a 17 year old male mage with veins coursing with with demon blood. Due to a deal he made with Beelzebub, one of the seven princes of Hell, to save his mother from death, he was stripped of his humanity and was given the blood of a Deva Mage (or Demon Mage) as a result. As with every pact, there are rules. One such rule is that Gavin is not allowed to use any type of magic that isn't destructive in some way. Gavin doesn't use magic from a staff; this is not a matter of preference but a matter of life or death. The sigil on his hand actually disallows usage of outside forces...well, sort of. In a sense, the sigil makes his hand act as a staff. As such, he is only able to use magic from the hand that the sigil is on (his left hand). If he tries to use a staff, he can. Why doesn't he? Because if he breaks any rule of the pact, the sigil will spread throughout his body and, ultimately, kill him if it covers him completely. There is a pro to this, and it's that he can release magic from any part of the body where the sigil exists, and more, the further the sigil spreads, the stronger his magic becomes. Gavin is unable to come in contact with humans, and if he does, the sigil will go haywire and will unleash magic that may threaten society, as well as Gavin himself.

Appearance

Gavin tries not to draw too much attention to the fact that he's a mage, and moreso a Deva Mage, due to the fact that he's not proud of those facts. He's around 6'1" and usually wears a black T-shirt. When required, Gavin wears a black school sweater vest with blue polo under it. He has short, brushed down hair and has deep aquamarine colored eyes. He has pale white skin that contrasts well with his dark brown hair.

Gavin, due to his being a mage and not having much interest in sports, has a slender build. He isn't muscular, but thanks to the lengths he had to go through to save his mother, he isn't skinny, either. he wears black dress shoes most of the time and almost always wears light blue jeans.

On the back of his left hand is a sigil that seems to be a variation of a pentagram, this is the what Gavin has to represent his being a Deva Mage. In an attempt staunch it's effects, as well as to hide the sigil, Gavin wears a black fingerless glove with a seal on the back on his left hand. The seal is really meant to decrease the power of his abilities, as he does not have complete control over them yet.

Personality

Gavin, like most mages, is incredibly smart. Unlike most mages, however, Gavin's intelligence is not inherent, and technically speaking, is not natural. He had to read and learn for years upon years to gain the intellectual prowess that he had. Along with this, he is the type of person who relies on logic, but isn't quick to deny the illogical or the supernatural; in fact, he enjoys examining such things.

Gavin is, for the most part, a relaxed person. He's not the type to get mad easily, largely because he's not exactly sure what would happen if he let the sigil be controlled by his emotions. He can get along well with others, but there is just one major quirk: he has trouble filtering what he should say and what he shouldn't say. It's not always a problem, and usually he doesn't say anything particularly insulting.

Gavin is also the type to ponder and lose himself in thought about...pretty much anything. He likes to think. A lot. Because of this, he can take almost literally anything and think about it in depth for a couple seconds to as long as hours.

History

Gavin was originally not a mage; rather, he was born a human. Gavin was exposed to youkai at an early age, Inuyasha being one show in particular that piqued his interest in youkai. Still, he didn't believe in youkai, he felt that he was too smart for that. Gavin was the type to lose himself in his books- and not just any books, educational books, specifically. It didn't matter to him who they were for because he had an incredibly irregular interest that would make most people faint at the thought: an interest in learning. He actually had fun reading books that other people would groan at the sight of, and he didn't care whether they were too advanced for him or not. This made his parents proud.

It goes without saying that Gavin flew through school with flying colors. People often called him out for not having to trying in school and even cheating. He simply ignored these people, as it was simply his hobby benefiting his education. He actually had trouble understanding how people had trouble understanding most things in school. He had a lot of friends, though. Some of them you might call "exploitative", but he also had some who were genuine. His was indeed a good life, a life so rare that most people he knew envied him for something he didn't have control of. In a sense, his intellect was natural, and there was nothing that could be done about that.

One day, when Gavin was 15, he walked by a Fantasy Shop; a store that specialized in fantastic objects, literature, clothing- you name it. He'd never been in a store like that since he found that they were FAR too eccentric for his tastes, but it was on his route to school, so he passed by it everyday, each time his curiosity rose a little more. He was greeted by a crafty individual...well, "crafty" in that he was wearing a costume most likely worn by all employees for immersion. Gavin made to look around, and did so for a while, as he was quite interested in a lot of what the store had to offer. There were parts of mythical creatures, legendary weapons, costumes, and even fictional food; however, what truly caught Gavin's attention were the grimoires. These books were about a large variety of things, though mainly they were about magic spells, incantations, rituals, summoning otherworldly creatures and the like. He grabbed a rather large amount of them and bought them. His interest in magic was largely a product of his natural interest in Fantasy. One would think that he was too much of a logical person to delve into the Dark Arts, and he was. He studied them for entertainment only, he wasn't so much interested in performing them as he was interested in how they worked and how they made sense to people. It was entertainment for him.

It was, until his mother came down with a terminal illness. In the beginning, they were hopeful that the illness is benign, but that hope quickly fades as her illness ravages her system and the becomes terribly sick and bedridden. This took an incredible toll on Gavin. He would go from school to home, often losing himself in thought and wouldn't even touching his books; it were as if he were a robot doing only what he needed to do. His father was concerned, but he was rarely able to be with Gavin very often due to his job, leaving Gavin home alone more often than not. This went on for a couple months, until he tripped over his grimoires one day. He looked at it, lifeless and emotionless, and then his eyes lit up. It was not hope or happiness that filled his eyes, however; it was out of desperation. He didn't hesitate to try out the curative spells that were in the grimoires. Day after day, month after month, he would do all that he could to make the various spells work, and each day he became more and more desperate, as if he had almost become possessed, if not addicted to magic. Still, he was not able to make the incantations and spells work, no matter how hard he tried, but he didn't give up. He couldn't. In some ways, he was starting to enjoy the practices.

Then, a miracle. A call came from the hospital, and the disease seemed to have miraculously disappeared from his mother's system; she'd need time to recover in the hospital, though. Gavin was ecstatic at hearing this, and it was as if all life had returned to the boy, when in truth, the opposite was true. After getting the call, a burning sensation came over his left hand and a sigil that seemed to be a variation of a pentagram appeared to be burned into his skin. At noticing this, his eyes turned white with fear. He read through each grimoire several times, he knew the repercussions. What shocked him was that the spell worked at all. He's tried thousands upon thousands of times and nothing happened, he wasn't sure exactly what was so unique about that one try that actually caused it to work.

Unbeknownst to Gavin, he had become so obsessed with the Dark Arts, so addicted to the rush and excitement of each enchantment, each incantation, each spell, that the obsession over came him, and that the Dark Arts became him. It didn't matter, though, not anymore. The symbol on his hand represented a pact with Beelzebub, one that could not be broken. What did the pact entail? That he gained the power to wield destructive magic. In essence, this may sound good, especially for a human turned mage, but these powers were not conventional. The magic was not natural; no, instead the magic was that of Hell itself, given to Gavin by Beelzebub. In other words, he was no ordinary mage, he was both artificial and demon; an abomination in every sense of the word. He was a mage that had entered a pact with a demon, a Deva Mage.
